Methoden

Erhebungsmodus

The study employed a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data, along with selected qualitative responses, were collected via an online survey. In-depth qualitative data were subsequently obtained through face-to-face interviews.

1) teachers at secondary schools at the ISCED 2 level (Sekundarstufe I) in the canton of Bern, Switzerland (n = 76, out of 108 collected); 2) teachers at secondary schools at the ISCED 2 level (5–9 classes) in Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Sumy regions, Ukraine (n = 313 out of 429 collected).

Auswahlverfahren

Non-probability sample: convenience sampling of Swiss and Ukrainian teachers. Flyers were distributed at schools in Switzerland, and invitations were extended at the end of workshops in Ukraine.

Auswahlverfahren

Non-probability sampling: volunteer (teachers) and purposive (teachers and experts). The sample of teachers for the interviews was formed from the survey participants (self-selected) and through personal invitations extended to selected teachers (purposive sampling). The group of experts to participate in the interviews was purposefully chosen by the researchers based on their scientific interests.
