Méthodes

Méthode de collecte

Research data was collected through structured individual interviews. At the beginning of each interview, participants in the experimental group viewed seven short videos, while those in the control group only saw one introductory video (the scripts for all the videos are available in the Dataset). The interview schedule included three questions inspired by the CAT-V (Appelbaum et al., 2005, pp. 2099–2100), assessing participants’ ability to (1) make a political choice, (2) justify it, and (3) evaluate its consequences. Interviews were transcribed using a sociological approach. Each interview was independently coded by two coders who were not involved in data collection. Using the criteria of Appelbaum et al. (2005, pp. 2099–2100), participants were scored from 0 to 2 on the first three questions. A third researcher compared the scores and resolved disagreements through consensus meetings. The data provided in this dataset is thus purely quantitative, derived from the structured interviews that were coded.
