The dataset contains data from the experiment (conditions, manipulation checks, self-report data from the experimental phase). The data file contains pre- and post-experimental data for 160 participants. Pre-experimental self-report data of participants are contained in the Dataset "Digital Lives - Social Anxiety, (problematic) Smartphone Use and Dispositional trust" (Ref dataset number #1240), in which the specific experiment is explicated (Experiment variable = '1"), and progressive ids are presented.

Any additional information, not included in the codebook, is presented in additional files provided, including details on pretest, scales, references. The questionnaire file contains the pre-test information on which stimuli and task were selected, screenshots from the experimental task, and post-experimental measures. The instructions file contains addition material used to implement the experimental phase: we provide participants a generic scenario (gender-oriented) and specific instructions for each task (italian language).
