The Old Age Monitoring has the main aim of periodically documenting living and health conditions of the retired population in Switzerland. In order to do so, it consolidates relevant publications for Switzerland, analyzes existing data from the government and cantons, and - if necessary - runs an own survey in order to provide an empirical basis for its analyses. The data collections are run under the title "Swiss Aging Survey (SAS)". The first wave of data collection was carried out in 2022, with plans to repeat it every 2-3 years.
