Remarques sur la documentation

This data file brings together fiscal data (statistics) on one worksheet in an attempt to show how the collection of contribution towards District Mineral Foundation Trust Funds picked up a pace over a certain time period. The fiscal figures on this data file are compiled from reliable publicly available data such as Periodic Status Report on Ministry of Mines website, Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (A scheme to develop Mining affected area), Question and Answer sessions of Indian parliament, Question and Answer sessions of respective State Assemblies etc. The variables in this data file are as follows: "State / District": Name of States / Name of Districts (under respective state excel sheets) "Collection": DMF Contribution Collected "Utilisation": Utilisation of DMF Funds in respective state/ District (under respective state excel sheets) "Unspent": Unspent Balances lying within respective state / District (under respective state excel sheets) "Percent Utilisation": Utilisation of DMF Fund as Percent of Total DMF collection as on that date "Percent Unspent": Unspent Balance lying with DMF Trust as Percent of Total DMF collection as on that date These fiscal figures give researchers and analysts an idea on whether the DMF Fund connotes a substantial portion of state government’s development expenditure, whether the state or district exhibits a trend of delayed implementation and snail pace of contribution and spending etc.
