Abstract

The project focuses on the effectiveness of the internet both as a source of information on low back pain (cLBP), and as way to enhance patients' self-management of the disease. The project has tree main purposes: 1. To assess the factors that influence self-management in the field of cLBP; 2. To elicit and compare patients' and health care providers' current perceptions of the management of cLBP; 3. To verify the efficacy of an online platform in informing, supporting and generally improving the health status of a group of 20 patients from Tessin affected by cLBP.

Results

Improvements in the self management of chronic low back pain have been tested in users of the platform.
