Population, unit of observation

University employees in the German-speaking region of Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.

Participant selection or sampling method (census, random sampling, other sampling method (specify))

Selection of excellence universities and an equivalent number of non-excellence universities in Germany. All universities in Austria and Switzerland are included. Overall, 28 universities where all researchers/scientific employees in the economics and business chairs and faculty were contacted.
