FOKUS Aargau covers approximately every second ballot. As a result, around twice a year, between 1,000 and 2,000 randomly selected eligible voters in Aargau are surveyed. They are informed by mail and can participate either online or using a printed questionnaire. The responses are used exclusively for scientific purposes, and the Center for Democracy Aarau (ZDA) analyzes only anonymized data. All personal data is permanently deleted upon completion of the survey.
The survey is currently conducted by the polling institute DemoSCOPE on behalf of the ZDA. The ZDA analyzes the survey results according to strict scientific standards and publishes a publicly accessible report, allowing all interested parties to gain a deeper understanding of the reasoning behind voters’ decisions.
